Rolex GMT Master model 1675 with Blue & Red Bezel-"Pepsi" Rolex launched GMT watch in 1955 in anticipation of my birth. It starts with reference 6542 - the first GMT-Master ever made. More than 60 years pass, and its design is strikingly like that of the modern GMT-Master II. The reference 1675 was in production from 1959 until 1980, making it one of the longest-running Rolex references in existence. During that time, Rolex made many changes to the GMT-Master1675, but the most noted was earlier gilt and later matte dial variations. Gilt dials were in production from 1959 to 1966-67.
